SUMMARY:Montane Lapland Arctic Ultra 2025
DESCRIPTION:the Montane Lapland Arctic Ultra is among the world’s toughest ultra races. It will take place on snowmobile trails in Swedish Lapland. Start and finish for the 185 and 500 km races is in the small town of Överkalix\, in the Swedish province of Norbotten. \nThe 185 km racers will go in a loop from Överkalix to the north and then back again to Överkalix\, crossing the Arctic Circle twice. The 500 km racers will then go on a second and different loop of 315 km\, again\, heading north and then coming back to Överkalix. On both race distances the athletes will travel on rivers\, lakes and through forests. \nAthletes in the 20 and 50 km race start in Överkalix\, too. The 20 km race will finish just next to the ice road in Rödupp. The 50 km continues on to the top of Laxforsberget and afterwards diverts from the regular trail to make it a total distance of 50 km\, finishing in Jockfall.

SUMMARY:Fat Viking 2025
DESCRIPTION:FAT VIKING is a winter ultra endurance race in the highlands of Norway and an official qualifier for the Iditarod Trail Invitational… \n\nAll distances start together. The 50km distanse finishes at CP1 (we can transport riders back to Geilo). If you register for the 150km/ 100km but only make it to CP1 we will still call you a “finisher” (an FV50 finisher). The same applies if you enter the 150km event but only ride the 100km distance. You will of course not count in any ranking or the competition itself. \nWe arrange a training camp prior to the race (from Monday to Wednesday 24th-26th of January). This is meant as a course about safe and efficient winter travel where you learn and practice the essentials.

SUMMARY:Fat Viking Winter Endurance Race
DESCRIPTION:FAT VIKING is a WINTER ULTRA ENDURANCE event under somewhat more “controlled” circumstances than the Iditarod Trail Invitational. The race course runs on snowmobile tracks\, dogsledding trails\, snowcovered roads and cross country skiing trails around Geilo/ Skurdalen/ Dagali. Checkpoints are inside a heated building where basic food (oatmeal) is offered along with the opportunity to rest. Several “bail out options” along the route are available in case of emergency/ abandoning the race.
